I trained at the Institute of Dental Health and Training at RAF Halton and qualified in 1982, gaining CEB Cert in Dental Hygiene. I spent 22 years in the Royal Air Force as a dental hygienist working in general dental practice and oral surgery.

I joined Marlborough Dental Studio in October 2001. During my time at the practice I have attended courses in local anaesthetics, impression taking and temporary dressings, and tooth whitening to extend my scope of practice. I continue to attend meetings on a regular basis to ensure I am up to date in all things periodontal.

I have been a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy for 32 years and attend the annual scientific meeting most years.

I am passionate about helping our patients achieve and maintain the best oral health possible and I try and ensure that I put my patients at ease so that they enjoy their experience in my care. I enjoy working with our great team who are always professional, conscientious and hard working.

I always recommend Marlborough Dental Studio to my friends and family because of these high standards of care.

Eight years ago, I underwent 24 months of orthodontic treatment using the Damon system. It was a surprise for my family for a person of my age to have train tracks!

The orthodontic treatment has helped with my confidence but more importantly I now have far fewer headaches. I have also had two implants placed and experienced the Cerec 3D system.
All these experiences have enabled me to appreciate patients’ concerns about new dental treatments.

I settled in Wiltshire 23 years ago where I live with my partner and our cocker spaniel. I enjoy many sporting activities, particularly running and golf, and I have completed the Bath and Stratford upon Avon half marathons to raise money for Cancer Research UK, The Stroke Association and Ataxia UK.

I currently hold a single figure handicap in golf and have represented Wiltshire at county level. I also enjoy walking and spend many happy days on the Southwest coastal path and many other great areas of the British Isles.
